Motorcycle suit made of Gore Tex® three-layer laminate

Robust Gore Tex three-layer laminate

The Touratech Compañero Rambler jacket and trousers are made from three-layer Gore Tex® Pro laminate. The material, which is as resistant as it is supple, allows for a pleasantly close body fit. In contrast to classic liner constructions, there is no water absorption whatsoever; instead, the rain rolls off the outermost layer straight away, so that wearing comfort is maintained even on long rainy rides.

Despite the highest level of waterproofness, this laminate enables effective water vapour transport, so that wearers don‘t immediately start sweating when exerting themselves physically.

Sophisticated ventilation system

To provide a comfortable wearing climate even in the greatest heat, the Compañero Rambler has a sophisticated ventilation system.

If the waterproof zip of the dual front zip fastening is open, the jacket is still kept closed with a second, underlying zip. However, there is an in-built strip of extremely air-permeable mesh material, reaching from top to bottom. This allows
air to enter over a large area, but keeps insects out.

Yet another key innovation in this highly effective ventilation system consists of the extensive ventilation flaps, two of which are located on the chest and two on the thighs. Waterproof zips allow the upper material to be opened wide and then secured with a magnetic button, to prevent fluttering. The ventilation openings are also backed with a three-dimensional mesh fabric.

The ventilation zips at biceps level provide arm ventilation. The vents on the back of the jacket can be regulated by means of waterproof zips.

This makes the Compañero Rambler perfect for high temperatures. Should it get really chilly, however, an integrated, detachable kidney belt and the inner jacket provide cosy warmth. In really foul weather, the removable storm collar provides a weatherproof transition to your helmet.

Top-level protection

As well as all this, the TOURATECH Compañero Rambler is excellently positioned when it comes to protection. In areas particularly prone to abrasion, the robust 600 nylon outer material of the Gore Tex® three-layer laminate is reinforced with Armacor.

The standard protectors on back, elbows, shoulders and knees feature the highest protection class, level 2, and the hip protector corresponds to level 1. The same protection class can be retrofitted in the chest area. This elaborate safety package allows the Compañero Rambler to be certified as Class AA motorcycle protective clothing - only a leather suit would be safer.

Perfect fit and comfort

Despite all the safety consciousness, the Compañero Rambler was of course also designed with comfort in mind. Straps on the torso, arms and legs are used to fine tune the fit. In the lower part of the jacket there is a zip on each side, so that it can be widened at the bottom when sitting. The generously dimensioned connecting zips between the trousers and the jacket guarantee a perfectly fitting suit as well as protection from draughts, and they also stop the jacket slipping up in the event of a fall.

Stretch inserts in the trouser legs provide extra freedom of movement, while particularly skin-friendly neoprene is used for the collar. Anti-slip attachments in the buttock area guarantee a secure fit even during extreme braking manoeuvres.

Extensive range of sizes

The Compañero Rambler is available in individual styles for both men and women, each style in seven sizes. The men‘s version of the Rambler is available in grey and black, and the women‘s version in grey.
